What we collect

When you join the waitlist we collect your email address. When you submit a book idea we collect the idea, your name, and your email. When payments open, payment details will be handled by a trusted payment processor and never stored by Brook directly.

How we use it

We use your email to tell you about the things you asked to hear about: when voting opens, when a book you backed is greenlit, and when your idea gathers readers. We do not sell your information, ever.

Voting data

Votes on ideas and covers are counted to decide what gets made. In this preview, votes are stored only in your own browser.

Cookies and storage

Brook uses your browser's local storage to remember what you have voted on, so you vote once per idea. We keep tracking to the minimum the site needs to work.

Your choices

You can ask to see or delete the information we hold about you at any time. Every email we send includes a way to unsubscribe.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will say so on the site before the change takes effect.
