Galia Sabbag, founder of Brook
It began with a whisper.
Brook began with a whisper, a calling to write children's stories. I followed that calling through challenges, doubts, and small triumphs, until my stories finally reached the hands of readers. And that is when something beautiful happened.
Readers began asking for stories that did not exist yet. “Please write a story about...” “My child needs a book that speaks to...” “I have been searching for a story like this, could you create it?”
Their requests were gentle but persistent, like pebbles dropped into water. Each one created a ripple. And eventually, those ripples formed a river.
Those ripples formed a river. Brook.
A publishing platform where the reader stands at the center, guiding the flow of imagination. No gatekeepers. No closed doors. No chasing trends or best-seller lists. Just a community dreaming together, where readers suggest ideas, vote for the stories they want, and help shape each book: choosing covers, influencing characters, celebrating every milestone.
Welcome to the magic of Brook.
When she is not building Brook, Galia writes the Shira series, Jewish holiday books for children. Meet the Shira series here.
